Perforce at night do people truly see this come to pass:
A host of wights from all lands about visits our realm.
When wights of stone & sea & fire & air indeed
come near, the people’s dreams cry out.

The moon above shines the way of wights within the fields;
the wandering wights shine their route through the grasses
from sun & sea, stones & sands,
they move as gray shapes, needing no hold on their ways.

the wise may reck in numbers, in the stars,
but reckon only, never finding full truth;
for all immortal wights return ever to their own path
beyond the ken of men, that all we have left of them is but thought alone.
